FIRST LEGO League + SBM = <3

Concept development. Platform design. 3D-visualization. Film.

The bank Sparebanken Møre’s focus is to support creativity and leadership skills at a young age. As the main sponsor of FIRST LEGO League in the region, they asked LD Studio to develop a concept where kids could learn both about financial sponsorship and how to apply for them.

 
 
 

Step 1: Concept

Our role was to develop the whole A to Z concept and learning experience. Essential questions were how to keep our young audience engaged, how to ensure effective learning and outcome and how to make the learning platform equally available to all teachers/students.

Step 2: Platform design

We designed the front-end platform on SBM's homepage, including various multiple-choice questionaries, forms to fill out, and GIFs & animations along the way to keep the learning experience engaging. By completing the whole portal, students receive a finished sponsorship application they also can use for other applications.

Step 3: Design & 3D animation

Kids love moving objects. So we created a character that guides everyone through the application with fun tips & tricks. Throughout the entire project, we made sure to align the character design with SBM’s already distinct profile, while including some new key features to make the animations easy to understand.

Step 4: Prepare for launch!

Last, but not least, we thought through and designed the teacher’s manual to ensure that all kids receive the same introduction to this very exciting challenge.

To start the whole First LEGO LEAGO learning experience we have given all the teachers a fun 10minute animation film, which explains the concept of funding and how to apply for it.
